Volkswagen is introducing amazing new vehicles for the 2013 model year and beyond. Take a closer look at these VW models courtesy of Auto Week:
E-Up!: An electric-powered version of the Up! minicar will be sold in the United States in 2013.
Polo: VW is considering selling its Ford Fiesta-sized European car in the United States. It may be built in VW's new Tennessee factory.
Golf: The compact hatchback will be freshened in 2013. At the same time, the high-performance GTI version will be freshened. A hybrid may be added that same year.
The upcoming Mitsubishi plug-in electric car, i-MiEV, is heading to the United States shortly. It is already driving the streets of Great Britain and Japan. The US-Spec version of i-MiEV will have a few upgrades...not to mention its steering wheel will be on the opposite side of the dash.
Auto Blog reports that the Japanese auto maker "is getting ready to roll out its electric i-MiEV in the United States, which is expected to arrive in late 2011."
When i-MiEV, arrives in the US, it will be larger than its Japanese and Euro-spec sister vehicles.
The all new 2011 Subaru Outback continues its tradition of being ahead of its time in vehicle design and option offering for almost two-decades.
The latest all wheel drive (AWD) Subaru comes standard with WiFi Internet capability. The models will be rolling WiFi hot spots; this will provide connectivity for up to 10 users more than 150 feet away.
"The WiFi works over 3G cellular networks via encrypted connections with download speeds averaging 400 kbps to 1.2mbps," according to Subaru. The system stays active while the vehicle is in motion.

The auto maker is comprising a series of 30-second Web videos on Subaru's YouTube channel that show people in the passenger seat of a race-ready version of the car. "The passengers -- twisting, screaming, laughing -- aren't on a drive to the grocery store. They are riding shotgun to X Games star and Subaru Rally Team USA driver Dave Mirra while he screeches around cement pylons under L.A.'s 105 freeway."
